I was listening to a new American artist Jesca Hoops song Summertime and all of a sudden TRexs Mambo Sun came into my head and I just had to see footage and hear it. They were so far ahead of their time that the music sounds new. I looked up Marcs Bio out of curiosity and saw that he was born in 1947 and so his 6oth birthday would have been in a few weeks. I had no idea that he died on this date that I needed to hear him (Sep. 16). Bless you Marc. I feel a connection and I have loved your music since I and the world first heard it and I was very young at the time. Theyre part of my earliest musical memories. I wish theyre was a tribute in New York like the one theyre having in London. Peace out. |

Only since last year I discovered Marc s music.
I m from 1960, T-Rex was only known in Holland for hits like Get It On, Hot Love and 20th Century Boy. I used to see Marc only as a glamrock
act, now I appreciate his musical and lyrical talents very much. Marcs spirit lives on! |
